Very good location, clean room

‘Soundproofed rooms’ is misleading. Very noisy hotel. Pictures are very misleading Bed extremely uncomfortable Maintenance poor. Gaps around doors and external windows that do not close properly mean this hotel is constantly noisy. I stay in west London regularly for business working nights. I booked this hotel as my usual was fully booked due to a late notice job. I booked due to the listing saying its sound proofed and various reviews saying its quiet. The first room 107 has a window that doesn’t close properly and a mot garage directly outside the window so good luck staying asleep past 7am. I was then moved to another room 01 behind reception as I was assured this would be silent (not the basement as they said) and spent the next 4 days getting almost zero sleep as the door by reception is slammed shut non stop all day (past 3pm). I appreciate cleaners will make noise during cleaning times but to spend all morning shouting to each other and slamming doors when signs on bedrooms clearly show ‘do not disturb’ staff were made aware of night works but that made no difference. Also the manager or owner screaming at staff during the day was completely unprofessional. dirt constantly falls out the bathroom vent that has never been cleaned. This is a budget hotel charging way over the odds, I spent over £1000 staying and should have slept in my van I’d have got better sleep! Room was clean, the staff that spoke to had been polite and helpful. I was given a assessable room which wasn't what I booked but a beds a bed. I was on the first floor with my window facing the alley next to the 02 Academy, stayed 2 nights, 1st night was fine but the 2nd night the local homeless had made a camp in the alley and about 1:30am they it sounded like they was having a party followed by a fight. Not the hotels fault but something to keep eye out for.

The room was more spacious than I expected for London, with a location spitting distance from Victoria station and the Wicked musical. I especially appreciated how nice the a/c system was since it was so hot out (for London); we're from Florida so it wasn't that hot, but also we're used to strong a/c and people's definition of that various widely here. Lots of great food in less than 0.5 miles walk. Their breakfast room was huge although they said it gets busy later. I enjoyed the many options, especially the Nutella dispenser! Not too many pastry choices but breads and hot options, tea and coffee, cereal and juice. One of our party has Celiac, so we appreciated their gluten-free selection.

Location was great. The washing machine was a GREAT addition. Had everything we needed. Small but well equipped. Nice shower.
